– At Friday night’s AGM the office bearers and committee were re-elected to their roles for the 2010/11 season.
– On Saturday night the club will be hosting a Champions League final BBQ (bring your own grub). There’s a fairly good chance that there’ll be karaoke after the final too!

Club news update

April 18, 2010

First off there will be no bus going to Coleraine on Tuesday night due to a lack of interest.

Also we’d like to remind members and non members alike that no drinks, whether soft or alcoholic, bought outside the club may be consumed on the club’s premises. Also no raffle or lottery tickets other than those approved by the committee may be sold in the clubrooms. If you wish to sell these please ask the committee for permission first.

Now a couple of dates for your diary! The Victoria Glenavon Supporters Club will be holding their end of season awards presentation night at 6.30pm in the Bedeck Suite at Mourneview Park after the Ballymena United game on May 1.

The votes for the POTS and YPOTS season were tallied yesterday and it was very close indeed. Thanks to everyone who voted. There will also be a disco with a 70’s theme so feel free to get your flares on!

Then on Saturday May 22 the club will be having a BBQ and showing the Champions League final on the TVs for a bit of craic.

Please come along and support these events – your club needs you!

Club news

March 2, 2010

– The club will be hosting an open meeting for all members on Friday March 12 at 7.30pm for you to put your views and ideas across.
The bar will also be open and there may be some form of entertainment after so please attend and support your club.
– Rather than have a club dinner this season the club are hoping to have an end of season disco in the Stute at, funnily enough, the end of the season. We are waiting for news of the fixtures after the split plus what free dates are available so once these are confirmed we will let you know. It would be hoped to have representatives of the playing staff there and to also hand over the Player of the Season and the Young Player of the Season awards on this date.
– We also hope to have an end of season party in the clubrooms on either the Irish Cup final day (if we’re not in it – if we are in it there’s going to be one hell of a party anyway!), FA Cup final day or Champions League final day. More details to follow at a later date.

The Victoria GSC is proud to present Super Saturday in the clubrooms on Saturday October 24, 2009.

The day starts off with a kit presentation to Kings Park Primary School, paid for by your donations during last season’s campaign. Then at 3pm it’s the main event, Glenavon v Linfield as the two sides battle to stay in touch at the top of the Carling Premiership. Kings Park will also be playing at half time in their brand new Victoria-sponsored kits.

Then at 5.30pm it’s Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers. Barclays Premiership leaders Chelsea host Sam Allardyce’s Blackburn as they aim to keep ahead of Manchester United. But Rovers will want to take a massive scalp to help pull themselves out of the bottom half of the table.

After the football the evening continues as we get quizzical with Chris Tarrant (he’s on the DVD, folks) and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Are any of our members or their friends smart enough to reach a virtual million pounds? Come along and find out or even put your name forward to play for a bit of craic!

Finally, the night comes to a close with that old Victoria classic – karaoke! Emulate the heroics of legends like Paul Carvill (above – sorry mate but we couldn’t resist) and sing along to all the classics.

It’s a night not to be missed and with all this entertainment to be had for the price of your entry into the match it’s one not to be missed! For more information ask any Victoria GSC committee member
